Ulisi Photography

A collection of wildflowers, wildlife, wild birds and scenery

Ulisi Photography is rooted in my Cherokee heritage and named for Ulisi, the word for maternal grandmother. Based in Montana, I capture the raw, unedited beauty of the wild — animals, birds, wildflowers, weather, and every fleeting moment in between.

My philosophy is simple: I take “anything God gives me” and use it wherever I can and give him the credit.

From wildfire skies to the delicate wings of a butterfly, I step into the quiet world of the wild not as an observer, but as a participant. Every image is a moment of a connection that is so authentic and beautiful.

With the support and encouragement from my husband, I have been able to publish a few of my photos in great magazines, such as “Montana Outdoors”. See my Glacier Grizzly in this issue.

Glacier Conservancy will be showing one of my photos in the Glacier 2026 calendar.

As an “At Large” citizen of the Cherokee Nation, it was such an honor to be a part of the “Trail of Tears” juried art show.

A few of my photos are in various calendars sold in Hallmark stores, Staples, Walmart and Amazon.

I do love to donate my work to worthy causes for auction. However, much of my joy comes from sharing this passion with our grandchildren. Whether we are hiking through the woods, climbing a tree for a better view, or dressing up for a photo shoot dressed as historical figures, such as Lewis and Clark, Sacajawea, forest fairies and Montana cowboys and cowgirls. I strive to cultivate their love for the wilderness.
